We provide opportunities for talented up and coming Student Film Makers and Film Crews

The purpose of the REEL EDUCATION Programme is to contribute to the self-reliance of filmmakers by providing them with professional qualifications for future employment and the film industry. We provide opportunities for those interested in working in the Film Industry by placing them on internships to obtain film set experience, film-related scholarships, and apprenticeships, as well as subsidized work placements. Our team focuses on personalized support that seeks to take our students from Education to Employment. Applications are reviewed on a yearly basis and by invitation only.

We provide production grants for long and short form content.

We support media that breaks the important stories of our time, exposes injustice, and brings attention to unreported issues. These funds enable the creation of long and short-form film content, support film festivals, and empower the creative sector in Africa, Asia, America, Latin America, the Middle East, and Europe. REEL also supports the development and execution of smart, strategic outreach campaigns for independent films with social issues at their core. The fund offers grants at various stages including development, production, and completion. Applications rounds are open throughout the year, and shall be advertised on our social media and on this website.

*Films funded under REEL Creatives are required to ensure marginalized community integration and support into pre-production and production budgets.

We support community-driven projects within all areas of art and culture and human rights activism. We support local partners who work with marginalized communities and invest in cultural, artistic projects, or human rights work that will help inspire young minds and teach creative skills. Our primary focus is on projects that help  bridge community divides or address social injustice.

Our grants are by invitation only and we do not accept unsolicited proposals.
